Meeting Highlights
"A Bridge to New Friendships"
The annual charity auction was held in November, and it was a HUGE success. We had
tremendous support from our sponsors and the community at large. Attendance was at an
all-time high, and everyone was feeling generous! The auction raised over $4000 to benefit CJs
Bus! Wow!!! The Welcome Wagon Club of Newburgh would like to thank everyone that supported
the auction through donations, purchasing auction items, and giving time to set-up. We would
also like to thank Larry Marschel for being our auctioneer again this year. Finally, a big thank you
to Monica Butts for doing such a tremendous job organizing the auction. Good job!

scramble to throw something together for dinner. We all face this on a regular basis. Welcome
Wagon is here to help! The theme of our April general meeting is Quick & Easy Meals. Everyone
is asked to bring their favorite dish to the meeting and copies of the recipe (please bring around
20 copies). In addition, Welcome Wagon will be presenting their donation to CJs Bus at this
meeting.
The meeting will be held at Newburgh United Methodist Church. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and
dinner begins at 7:00 p.m. Babysitting will be available ($5 for 1 child, $8 for 2 children, and $10
for 3 or more children).

Our charity for the year is CJ's Bus. CJ's Bus is a rapid-response, self-contained mobile recreation
unit which is deployed to disaster sites nationwide in order to keep children distracted and
entertained in a safe group environment in the immediate aftermath phase of natural or man-made
disasters. We will be hosting several events throughout the year to raise money for our charity. For
